Breakup Songs of Placebo

Brian Molko is without doubt a little "odd duck. Capitalization of the perfect mix of hedonism and I androgyny, led his team to great success with placebo in the entire world, while at the same time his face graces the cover of a magazine of  Breakup Songs many. But in the placebo are Akon Songs a little "from a difficult situation these days. The band's third album, "Black Market Music ', was met with less than stellar reviews from the British press, and it was warm enough in  TI Albums sales since its release in October ... This at a time when the popularity of the American band to a record high with the low U.S. alternative radio in 1998 has made that 'Morning Pure "is reached. At press time, there is still no sign of a U.S. release for the new record, but probably happen sometime in the coming months. Prior to the publication in October, "Black Market Music 'Excellent Online was a couple of words in front of a webchat with  Akon Songs Molko get to London. What follows is the full transcript of the interview.

EO: "Black Market Music" in October in the UK on the market, but maybe not until next year for the United States. And "because you want to saturate the European market, then press the United States?

BM: The thing is that America needs to have a presence to penetrate the public's imagination. You can not just come for two weeks and just waiting for something to happen. It is very difficult for non-local talent coming through. You need to devote much time and everything right in place.

EW: Are you satisfied with Breakup Songs the reception: "I am nothing without you" [the band's last album] was recorded here?

BM: Yes, but we have great support from MTV, which was a shame. We had a hit with "Pure Morning", which has been played 5,000 times a week from  Breakup Songs coast to coast. It's good to feel even a loser, but we have sold more than 150,000 copies WYIN in America, and that is  Akon Songs definitely not a mistake.

EO: Do you prefer the underdog in the American public?

Even with the Boundary-less World Wide Web, go ', music lovers, most of us, aware of our activities we loved listening to the hit-makers over the oceans, the blip on the radar or are completely unknown to us. There are a number of possible reasons for this, really, but with  Breakup Songs  the release of her Akon Songs sixth studio album Battle For The Sun (Vagrant), hope that their appeal placebo jumps the great waters.

"We have been at least twice the record was," says bassist Stefan Olsdal, waiting to play Akon Songs two festivals in Germany, 80,000 body last month. "We actually put in a lot more [now] as a band more European. We are still a little 'cult status in TI Albums the United States."

It does not matter that Robert Christgau, in his fence-surfing, nerve-twisting diatribes (see "Lost In The Lonely Crowd" Village Voice, April 18, 2006), predicted the placebo would never achieve the cult status, it would not be Long shot to be against him. Along with the Akon Songs obvious appeal of radio tracks on the new disk, placebo had the opportunity to build a good base for Breakup Songs  the year 2007, while playing the main stage of the tour Projekt Revolution with Linkin Park My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM and Julien-K. It 'was a great opportunity for the band to be exposed to a you anger audience - an audience, were also Breakup Songs   evident when veterans of the tour.
